Before you even step foot into the i-sopod it is a visually stunning piece of equipment. To us it evokes thoughts of travelling through space and time which immediately puts us in the mood to search our minds. At over 2.5m long and 1.7m wide there is plenty of space to manoeuvre around, even if you’re reaching the 7ft mark, meaning you do not feel claustrophobic.

Filled with over 500kgs of quality Epsom salts dissolved into 30cm of clean and filtered water makes the absorption of magnesium from the salt a pivotal part of the experience. Magnesium is the second-most abundant element in human cells and the fourth-most important positively charged ion in the body, so it is little wonder this low-profile mineral is so vital to good health and well being. Magnesium performs a vital role in orchestrating many bodily functions, from muscle control and electrical impulses to energy production and the elimination of harmful toxins.

The lighting of the pod is controlled by you so you turn it off or keep it on if you wish. The i-sopod also plays music, usually 10 minutes at the beginning of your session to ease you into relaxation however you can have it for the whole session if you wish, however this may affect your relaxation so we advise to turn it off for full sensory deprivation.

Both the water and air in the pod is warmed to the temperature of your skin, so that as you settle into your float, the sensations of the water and air against your skin will begin to dissolve and you lose track of where your body ends and the water begins. As gravity melts away and your senses fade, you begin to let go more and more, expanding into the vastness of space.
